OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 - Windows 8 Caution Please note that the usage of WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 as development and server system is not supported for Windows 8 Solaris 10 (x86)WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 provides support for Solaris 10 (x86). For more details see: Software requirements and Installation under Solaris Improvements of Ultralight Client and ScriptWizardThe Ultralight Client and the Script Wizard now have several new features and general optimizations with WinCC OA 3.11 Service pack 1. The following information describes the changes: New Clock WidgetThe clock widget is now available in the Ultralight Client. See Clock Widget WinCC OA Ultralight Client - Clock Widget New Context MenuThe ScriptWizard can now create context menus. See: Show context menu WinCC OA Ultralight Client - Context Menu Integration of the WinCC OA DocumentationTo give the users additional help for controlling the UI the WinCC OA documentation was integrated into the ScriptWizard and the Ultralight Client. A simple selection of the needed keyword provides the necessary information to the user. For more information see Open HTML help and Compatible functions - std_help(). WinCC OA ScriptWizard - Open HTML help Support of Tooltip TextsWinCC OA Service Pack 1 supports the displaying of tooltip texts in the Ultralight Client. Performance OptimizationsThe loading duration of the Ultralight Client was decreased with WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 Added new compatible functionsThe list of the compatible functions has increased and provided in the chapter Compatible functions chapter. Support of Touch GesturesThe support for scrolling via touch gesture was added for selected objects in WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack1 to provide easy use of the Ultralight Client on mobile devices Improvement of the Trend WidgetThe Ultralight Client Trend Widget was enhanced and now supports more functions known from the WinCC OA UI. iframe SupportThe client was enhanced so the Ultralight Client can be displayed in your own website. The Ultralight Client can now be embedded inside an iframe. WinCC OA Ultralight Client - iframe FeaturesMulti selection mode for selection listThe WinCC OA 3.11 selection list was enhanced and a new multi selection mode was added. The selection list also contains new functions: "selectedItems", "selectedPositions" and "selectionMode" Support of SNMP Array AddressesWinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 supports the usage of array addresses for the SNMP periphery address configuration. This allows the querying of multiple addresses with only one address configuration. See: Defining the peripheral addresses of the SNMP driver Release NotesInstallation of WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1To correctly install WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 the previous versions of WinCC OA 3.11 must be removed and afterwards a new installation of WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 must be performed. Installation & Configuration - Windows 7Please note the following requirements for the installation and usage of the project administration of WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1. For Windows 8, it is necessary to start the setup as well as the project administration with administrative permissions (Right-click > "Run as administrator"). For Windows 7 the project administration must be started with administrative permissions; otherwise no new projects can be created, registered or deleted. To permanently start the project administration with administrative permissions, you can apply the corresponding settings using the compatibility menu (Right-click > "Properties" > "Compatibility"). For Windows 8, please note that only deactivating the User Account Control (UAC) is not sufficient to allow a valid installation and the usage of the project administration. The Setup.exe as well as the WCCOAui.exe must be started with administrative permissions (Right-click > "Run as administrator"). User-developed Drivers / API Managers / Ctrl-ExtensionsIt is necessary to recompile the content of user-developed drivers / API managers / Ctrl extensions with WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1. For more information see Supported Compiler in WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 Setup Changes - Engineering ToolThe Engineering Tool was removed from WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 setup. Information about using the Engineering Tool is available from WinCC OA Support. Setup Changes - Demo ProjectThe Demo Project was removed from the WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 setup. The project was formerly used as a blank project and is now obsolete with this version of WinCC OA. Please note that the Demo Project is not the same as the WinCC OA DemoApplication! Qt VersionThe supported Qt version was updated from version 4.7 to version 4.8.4. API - DevelopmentOnly a Release configuration can be used for API development. The use of a Debug configuration is not supported and will lead to errors inside your project. Changes to the WinCC OA Base PackageThe WinCC OA Http server was added to the WinCC OA base package in WinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1. A manual selection is no longer required during the WinCC OA Setup. Changed Resubscription Interval of the BACnet DriverThe default resubscription interval of the BACnet driver was changed from 1200 seconds (20 minutes) to 7200 seconds (2 hours). Changed Config Section for OPC DA ServerWith WinCC OA 3.11Service Pack 1, the existing section [PVSS_II] was renamed to [WINCC_OA]. Changes for the Saving of Intermediate Values of the Archive CompressionsWhen creating a new archive compression, the "Save intermediate values" option is deactivated by default and must be manually activated when required. Alive Mechanism of the Web ClientThe Web Client now uses an alive mechanism to keep the connection between the Event Manager and Data Manager active. To deactivate the alive mechanism, you must set the config entry aliveTimeout to 0. Changes for the Synchronization of disaster recovery and redundant systemsThe internal data points of the WinCC OA project are no longer synchronized because different states of the data points must be saved, e.g. for redundancy states, driver connections, etc. Changes of the supported Oracle VersionsWinCC OA 3.11 Service Pack 1 contains the following changes to the supported Oracle versions: Table: Minimal requirements - Oracle runtime client / server version
For more requirements and restrictions see : RDB Archiving - Requirements for Installation Oracle C++ Call InterfaceThe Oracle C++ Call Interface Library was removed from the WinCC OA Service Pack 1 setup. It must be manually installed when using RDB archiving. The necessary Libraries can be found here: Oracle C++ Call Interface. Please consider that the environmental variable for the Oracle libraries must be updated according to the location of the newly installed libraries. |
