Requirements
Correctly
installed WinCC OA
version 3.0 (32 bit) or higher. Applicom
version> 3.8 (the Applicom version 4.1.1.0 is installed
together with WinCC OA). Applicom
card: can only be used under Windows. Software
stack: can only be used under Windows.
To be able to work with the WinCC OA
Applicom driver it is necessary to create the Applicom configuration
first. The configuration is made via the Applicom console and
comprises the following points:
The configuration of the Applicom board
is described in the Applicom documentation.
 NOTE
Since WinCC OA
version 3.7 Profibus-FSM is not longer supported by the Applicom
driver.
NOTE
The Applicom driver is not supported on Linux
or Solaris operating systems! See also Supported
Platforms of the most important Drivers.
NOTE
If you want to communicate with S7 using Applicom
in Raw mode, note that too small data blocks may cause an error
message. Thus, adapt the size of the data blocks.
Installation
A normal installation
of WinCC OA
version 3.0 or higher is sufficient for using the Applicom driver.

 Caution
Both components do not work together on one
computer.
Start multiple Applicom drivers on one computer
Normally, only one Applicom driver may be started
on one computer since this driver may access all cards. It is
also possible to start several drivers on one computer. However,
the Applicom poll list has to be deactivated in the device panels
which leads to reduced performance. |
