Detect System Data

If you are not familiar with the operating system of Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you can find out the system data as follows:

 

You can check the computer data through [rightMouseClick] on the "workstation" symbol on your desktop and by selecting "Properties". On the "General" tab you find CPU, clock rate, physical memory (RAM), operating system and version, service pack.

In the same dialog on the "Extended" tab (Settings -> System Output -> Extended tab) you can find the current settings of the virtual memory (swap files for all drives).

 

Alternatively you can use the start button of the operating system and then navigate to start -> settings  
-> control panel -> system
and select the mentioned tabs.

You can detect the free hard disk capacity the easiest way in the file explorer through [rightMouseClick] on the corresponding hard disk symbol of the drive and by selecting "Properties".

 

You can view the display data, particularly the resolution of the graphic system through [rightMouseClick] on the empty desktop area and by selecting Properties > "Settings tab".

You can find out whether the current operating system user (login) is a member of the group "Local administrators" through a [rightMouseClick] on the workstation symbol on the desktop and select "administer" through double click. Only when the user name is included in the opened list, the user possesses administrator rights.
